It floats beside the bed, at the height you choose: the drawer on top, the open nook below for your bedtime book, phone or glasses. The pull is a simple notch at the top of the drawer front.

It hangs on a birch rail that you screw into a wall stud: the hook is cut into its sides, and the bevel of the rail pulls it tight against the wall. A key, slid in behind the drawer, keeps it from lifting off.

No glue: the bottom hooks onto the sides, and once on the wall it can no longer slide back. Everything comes apart: the drawer, the key, then you lift it off.

Material: 18 mm birch plywood, 12 mm drawer, exposed edges, oiled
Assembly: Tenons and hooks, no glue; the drawer front screws onto the drawer. Rail screwed into a stud: drill and level.
