At 45 cm≈ 17 ¾ in high, it is bench height: sit on it to lace your boots, set a lamp on it by the bed or a coffee at the end of the sofa. Its shelf, 34 cm≈ 13 ½ in deep, takes shoes, books or a basket.

Set the length from 40 cm15 ¾ in to 140 cm≈ 55 in. From 100 cm≈ 39 ¼ in, a divider adds a compartment on the left: a spot of its own for hats, keys or mail.

Its sides borrow the lines of old gym benches. No wedges: the rail hooks onto the sides, and the top, set in last, locks it.
